Questions buyers ask

Garden sauna FAQs

Do I need planning permission for a garden sauna?

Usually not — most garden saunas fall under permitted development if they're under 2.5 m at the eaves within 2 m of a boundary, and the garden isn't already half-covered by outbuildings. Conservation areas and listed buildings differ. We confirm the planning position for your model and garden from your photos before you commit.

What base does it need?

A level, load-bearing base — typically ground screws or a concrete pad. We assess your garden from photos and quote the groundwork separately, before you commit.

What about the electrical connection?

The 9 kW heater needs its own dedicated circuit, installed and certified by our electrician (Part P). We quote this from your fuse-board photo before you commit.

How does a finished building get into my garden?

By crane — over the house if needed. The access check is exactly why we ask for photos first. We confirm the lift can be made before anything is ordered.

How long from order to first sauna?

Your building is manufactured to order, then installed in a single day. Current lead times are confirmed with your quote — we provide a realistic timeline before you pay a deposit.

What is the VeltHaven 2-Year Full Warranty?

Every VeltHaven Spa includes a 2-year full warranty covering all parts and workmanship, self-backed by VeltHaven Ltd (Companies House 17261887). The heater (Harvia or HUUM) is covered by its own manufacturer's warranty. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
