VeltHaven anthracite insulated garage with a side window on a block-paved driveway beside a British home Visualisation

Insulated Garages · the insulated line

Insulated garages you'll want to spend time in — all year.

100mm of high-performance insulation in the walls and roof, finished in deep architectural anthracite. Warm in winter, cool in summer, quiet in the rain — the difference between somewhere you park the car and somewhere you would happily set up an office, a gym or a home for a car you care about.

Free to design · ~5 minutes · fixed price online — no site visit needed.

An insulated garage keeps the comfort in.

A standard metal garage keeps the weather off. With 100mm insulated panels you get a sealed, dry, temperature-stable space — no condensation on your tools, no summer oven, no winter freeze. The closest thing to a brick extension without the brick-extension price or the months of building work.

About planning

Planning permission — what to expect

Insulated garages are taller than basic metal ones. Within 2 m of a boundary the permitted-development height cap is 2.5 m, so most sizes will need a planning application when sited close to a fence or wall. Set further back, our apex models are typically within the 4 m PD limit. We assess your plot — heights, roof type and distance to boundaries — and tell you clearly what's required before you commit. It is a routine step we handle with you. Read our planning guide →

Fixed price, standard connection. Electrical prices cover a standard connection — building within approximately 15m of the house, feed clipped or in an existing duct (no trenching), a spare way on your board. Any site extras (trenching, long runs, a board upgrade) are quoted from your photos before you commit — never a surprise.

Smart Security Collection

Advanced protection, built in from day one

Requires the Move-In Ready Electrical Collection — it needs power. Available on both garage lines, fitted during the build, no retrofit.

  • Intelligent intrusion detection — door, motion and forced-entry sensing with instant phone alerts
  • Active theft deterrence — internal & external sirens plus security-lighting integration
  • Premium night-vision cameras — live mobile view and stored video evidence
  • Independent 4G connectivity — keeps working through a broadband failure
  • Battery backup — runs through power interruptions
  • One flat price, all sizes — £3,995, professional install & setup included

VeltHaven may fit equivalent or upgraded security equipment from leading manufacturers without notice.

Our recommendation

A warm shell turned into a true year-round room

What's included / what's separate

Included: the building, insulated door, side door, window, guttering, delivery, installation, VAT, and the VeltHaven 10-Year Structural Warranty (2 years full warranty + structural cover to year 10).

Quoted separately after a site assessment: the level base/slab it sits on. Electrical packages include connection and certification on a standard connection; only non-standard conditions (trenching, long runs, a board upgrade) are quoted on top — always before you commit.

How it's built

Built from 100 mm PIR sandwich panels

Every wall and roof is a single insulated panel — two steel skins bonded to a rigid PIR foam core and locked together with a concealed tongue-and-groove joint. 100 mm PIR core · steel skin both sides · wall U-value 0.23 W/m²K.

Engineered to last

What's Inside Every Insulated Garage

Every wall and roof is a steel-skinned insulated sandwich panel — the same panel system used in modern commercial buildings, finished to a premium standard.

Why PIR?

PIR foam has one of the lowest thermal conductivities of any insulation material — significantly better than standard mineral wool. That means a thinner wall delivers the same warmth, keeping your garage dry, temperature-stable, and free from condensation year-round. The steel-skinned sandwich panel also resists rodents, mould, and mechanical impact in a way that brick or timber simply cannot. Every panel is independently tested and carries a CE mark under EN 14509.
